Life just keeps happening around here...

Although preparations for Africa are well on their way and we only have less than 9 days to embark on this much awaited journey...
The sun keeps rising and time keeps ticking as the Lord constantly reminds us that HIS mercies are New every single morning!...
In preparation for the new semester of DTS (Discipleship Training School), I set aside some time to put together some pictures of all the staff so that students and visitors can get to know who we are a little better...
(I'm still missing just a few)
...I also felt that the classroom needed something to keep the students focused on missions and to remind them that no matter hard things can get...
He's got the WHOLE world...
...in His hands!
God has also graciously and abundantly answered our prayers to bring more staff and fill the empty rooms in the base and also to bring children...
...and look at who he gave us as our new neighbors!...
Mariana and Gabriel loved Mario right away because he "seduced" them with chocolate! :)
Then 3 weeks ago the new students began to arrive and a new DTS has successfully begun, bringing one of the largest group of students that we have had for many years- a total of 24 students from the most states in Brazil that we have ever had in any of our DTS's, even a young man from Ohio, Daniel with his wife and 3 kids (not pictured) is with us (He's the forth one in at the top from right to left).
This was the opening service...
Three weeks ago we also had the privilege of praying over Raimundo and Simone as we sent them off with our blessing to Guine Bissau where they have felt called as missionaries for many years, and finally went off to spy the land! Raimundo is one of our biggest "prayer warrior" at the base and he will be missed, but I know they will do great things for the Lord in that nation!
As we leave for Africa for 2 months...we leave this base, our home, in the hands of the Father, knowing that He will continue to take care of everything!
We have seen his faithfulness in the great things and in the small, and we praise His for bringing us through this time of great abundance now!
We traded in two cows for this big bull here...
...and he didn't loss any time!
We already have 4 calves and at least 5 more on the way!
Unfortunately, the last calf that was born was attacked by the base's dogs and they almost killed it...they ripped one of its ears completely off, poor thing!
...But Mr. Ze' is on the job! (He's the ground-keeper).
But we know that truly HIS eye is on the sparrow...and he watches also over us!
