The Latest

The last few months have been a blur. Since Lucas started walking at 11 months I feel like I have had a new full time job running after him and just trying to keep up with him and the house and ministry and just the crazy business we are in since this year started.
We began the ministry year with a highly task to rebuild the kitchen/eating facility on the base…with no money for such an ambitious endeavor, but an urgent need to do so, we dove in by faith.
Mario and I are both discipling a married couple that is doing DTS this semester and Mario is teaching, attending endless meetings, and we have several travels plans for this year. Including a much awaited Ecuador trip coming up this March! It's been 10+ years since I have been to Ecuador and this will be Mario's (and our Lucas') first time seeing my "home land". I can't wait!
This blog update is a quick flash of the latest events in our lives….Enjoy the pictures!

Talita (Jonas'sister) has reapered and has agreed to go back to school…She really needed a "make-over" so I treated her to a mask and hair cut (plus styling)...

Our little Lucas is quickly learning about what there is to do for fun in this world...

These are baby parrots our neighbors found on their roof when they were fixing it a couple of weeks ago. Once you took them the mother rejects them so we found a new home for them at our drug rehab center. They are doing really well there.

Fresh meat at the base. Mario helped skin the pig as you can see...

 DTS students in class...

A wild canary nest I could in on of our tress at home…and the mommy watching closely as I took pictures...
some of the left over cookies from the welcome party for the DTS students we did at home. I totally forgot to take pictures when they were there! Sorry...
My brother Jeyson and his wife Stephanie dedicating their son Elijah Wesley at their church

Mario giving class to the DTS students
Our Wednesday night worship service...

We prayed for Brazil so everyone dressed up in our flag colors (green and yellow) or a favorite team shirt

 Eating watermelon...
The DTS students

 Cooing off at the pool...
We had a short term working visitor from Canada (Andrew) volunteer in some building projects at my parents house for two weeks. We also took him to share his testimony at our drug rehab. center

The men were very touched by Andrew's testimony (he's the second from left to right)

Until next time…
